Get ready to start summer with wagging tails and happy beginnings at CAP’s Kick-off to Summer Adoption Event on Saturday, June 6 from 11 am to 5 pm! Thanks to the generous support of West Houston Subaru, all adoption fees will be sponsored 100%, making it the perfect time to meet your new best friend.
Spend the day enjoying music, games, snacks, and local vendors while visiting our adorable adoptable dogs, cats, puppies, kittens, and more. Whether you are looking to adopt or simply join in the fun, there is something for everyone at this exciting summer celebration.

Find your zen surrounded by adorable kittens at CAP's Kitty Yoga! This fun and relaxing one-hour yoga session is perfect for animal lovers of all experience levels. Enjoy gentle stretches, plenty of kitten cuddles, and the chance to meet some of our adoptable feline friends.
Registration is $10 per person and opens on Wednesday, June 10 at 10 am. Space is limited to 30 participants, so be sure to reserve your spot early.
All proceeds benefit the animals at CAP. We look forward to seeing you on the mat for this purr-fectly relaxing morning!

Summer Lovin’ Mega Adoption Event
Love is in the air at Citizens for Animal Protection all summer long! Join us during June and July for our Summer Lovin’ Mega Adoption Event, where finding your new best friend is even sweeter.
Thanks to the generous support of West Houston Subaru, all adoption fees are 50% off throughout the entire event. From playful puppies and cuddly kittens to loving adult pets waiting for a second chance, there are so many amazing animals ready to meet their future families.

Summer Camps for Kids and Teens
Get ready for a summer full of animals, learning, and hands-on fun! Citizens for Animal Protection offers engaging summer camps designed for kids and teens who love animals and want to learn more about how to care for them.
Our 2026 Summer Camp season runs from May 28 through August 7 and features a variety of themed camps tailored to specific age groups. Campers will enjoy interactive activities, meet shelter animals, learn about responsible pet care, and discover how they can make a difference in the lives of animals.

Join us for a truly special evening as we celebrate our 40th Gala, The Ruby Gala, on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at the Post Oak Hotel.
This milestone event marks 40 incredible galas supporting the lifesaving work of our organization and the compassionate community behind it all. Guests will enjoy an unforgettable night featuring dinner, drinks, inspiring stories, and meaningful ways to make an impact for the animals in our care.
We are proud to have Danielle and Derek Gillespie serving as this year’s Gala Chairs, with Iraida Brown as our Honorary Chair. The evening will be emceed by Andy Cerota, bringing energy and heart to this memorable celebration.
