What makes our camps special?
At CAP Kids Camps, children explore the world of animals—what they eat, how they live, and the challenges they face. They’ll discover what makes each animal unique and why treating them with kindness and respect is so important. Campers are empowered to think critically about their role in caring for companion pets and protecting wildlife.
Our camps blend humane education with science, technology, and art, helping kids develop compassion and responsibility. Each day includes fun activities like games, crafts, and hands-on animal interactions. With small camp sizes, every child gets quality time with our animal guests.
Day Camp (9am-3pm): $75/day

Camp Descriptions:
Little Blossoms: March 9 & 10 | Ages 6-8 Young animal lovers will explore what it means to care for animals in a fun, hands-on way! Campers will meet and interact with the animals at the shelter, enjoy storytime sessions inside animal rooms, and create spring-themed arts and crafts. They’ll help make homemade dog treats and even have a chance to walk a dog one day, with staff guidance. This camp is perfect for curious kids who love animals and learning through play.
Wildflower Whiskers: March 11 & 12 | Ages 9-12 This camp focuses on understanding animals and how to care for them safely and respectfully. Campers will learn about animal behavior and body language and how to properly handle dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. Activities include making frozen enrichment treats for dogs, feeding shelter dogs, participating in scavenger hunts, creating spring crafts, and walking dogs on both days. A great choice for kids ready for more responsibility and deeper learning.
Blooming Paws: March 13 | Ages 13-17 Designed for teens who want a deeper, behind-the-scenes shelter experience, this camp offers meaningful hands-on opportunities. Campers will walk dogs both days, take select dogs to the Zoomie Zone for supervised free-roam time, and visit our Puppy Palace, a staff-only area off limits to the public. Participants will assist with retrieving and putting away animals, enjoy multiple animal interaction sessions, and take part in age-appropriate crafts focused on stress relief and spring reflection.
