CAP has many wonderful dogs and puppies available for adoption. Also, new animals arrive every day at the shelter, so our site features only a small number of our residents. For a real canine caper, stop by the shelter, located at 11925 Katy Freeway in Houston, Texas.

I'm Jack a very sweet Shepherd/ Pointer mix, brown and white markings, 4 yr old male with 3 legs. I’m already housetrained, good with all age people as long you you are 'gentle' and kind. I even get along with cats! I’m just so VERY sweet, I love everyone. I’m neutered and weigh 61lbs. One look at me and I’ll steal your heart. When I was younger, I was thrown from a car. My finder had to get my front right leg amputated. I was lucky. But, my owner was unhealthy and couldn’t care for me. I’d make such a good friend and I’ll provide lots of company and love if you’ll take me home.

Don't yo just LOVE my ears?!!! As you can see I'm a super cute female Shepherd mix., 4 mo old. I am still a young pup now. I will one day be 50+lbs when I grow up. Great with older kids and adults. I enjoy learning new things and having fun. I was found as a stray. It’s pretty lonely out there, especially at night. Hoping you will take me home. I don’t need much except love and attention. Buddy is a VERY sweet and good natured 73 pound yellow Lab mix. He would be a wonderful family dog and he is kind and good with older kids and adults and likes small dogs, cats and other animals! He is a smart dog and knows several things such as "no", "sit" and "come". Sadly Buddy ended up at a shelter when his owner got sick and could no longer care for him.
