Lillian wrote, This is my first tome to adopt from an animal shelter. We recently lost our little Astro (5 yr old Shih Tzu). He was hit by a car and died. It left my entire family heartbroken, but it affected me the most because he was my shadow. I felt a void no longer having my fur baby in the house. My sister took me and my girls to CAP and we saw Macy and knew she was the one. She is so full of energy and definitely loves to play. We are so happy that she is in our lives.
Alona wrote, We are very pleased that Phoenix lives in our family. My six-year girls get very good lesson that we should take care of animals. Enjoy it, while referring to the respect for his needs and desires.
Sarah wrote, My husband and I have been thinking about adding another dog to our family for a couple of years now. When we finally decided to move forward with the decision, we knew we wanted to adopt. The first day we went and met Riley, we had this intense gut feeling that he was the one. When we met Riley, he looked us in the eyes with so much love. All he wanted to do was cuddle and play. Riley's new sister, Delilah has been an only dog for almost 5 years now. She loves her new brother and having a playmate. When Riley is not playing with his sister or his new Star Wars toys, he sure does love to relax and cuddle with his new mom and dad. Riley couldn't have been a better fit for our family. We are so happy knowing he has found his forever home with us.
Katherine wrote, My son and I had a day off together, so we decided to stop by the shelter and see if there might a good dog for us. We started walking around the dog area, and we met beautiful Gizmo! He was incredibly sweet, so we walked him around the yard and talked to him some more. We left the shelter and quickly talked to other family members--the unanimous answer was YES, let's adopt him! Gizmo is now our family member, and he's a happy, energetic dog . . . our forever friend.
Garrett wrote, I'm Garrett, I'm 6 and I'm Taffy's new daddy. She loves her new home and we are so happy to have her here. She squeaks so cute when I pet her because she likes it so much. She eats celery and carrots. She's my cutie pie!
Karen wrote, Omri was 11 weeks old when he came home with us. He was so tiny, but he is growing FAST. He has only been with us for a month and a half, but has already doubled his weight - he does love to eat! He loves everyone, and everyone loves him! He's such a "people dog." He is very attached to the whole family - when we leave, even for a few minutes, he goes "over the top" crazy when we come back. In the beginning, he was scared of practically everything, but is now settling in well and overcoming a lot of his fears. He loves his new "brother" and when he's not by my side, he's beside Chad's. Love this boy.
Caileigh and Jonathan wrote, When we first walked in we didn't know what to expect, but we knew we wanted to give a dog a forever home. When we saw Bonnie we immediately knew she was the one. We love her so much. She loves to go running, play fetch, and most of all snuggle. We couldn't have had a better experience adopting our dog.
Kirsten wrote, We recently lost our beloved collie mix and on a trip to CAP to donate some of her things, my husband was wooed by the face of a catahoula puppy. Callie's active personality is perfect for him and they enjoy running, swimming, and playing fetch together. She is adjusting well to her new home and adores her "big" brother, Napolean. She is a bit of a toy hoarder, and prefers ones that make noise. She is helping our broken hearts mend.
Amy wrote, We got Wriggly in September and have had her almost a year now. She is a great part of our family. She is great with our children and very laid back. We are so happy to have found her.
Greta wrote, Lola loves her new family and has made herself at home. She likes to play but only when it's cool, she's very curious, and she's the best snuggler ever! She enjoys chewing on all of her toys and dog bones and playing with the kids. We're excited to have a bigger and better family with Lola!
