Calling all animal lovers ages 6 to 13! Become a member of the CAP Kid's Club and join us for our next fun-filled meeting on 12/3 at the CAP Shelter. Interact with resident pets, play games and learn about the wonderful world of animals!
Did you know that the act of cuddling or petting a dog or cat reduces stress, lonliness and anxiety? Animals can also help increase a child's social skills. And interaction with animals has been proven to raise levels of serotonin and dopamine, which are the chemical building blocks of positive feelings. All science aside, kids love animals. Citizens for Animal Protection understands that kids not only benefit from loving a pet, but pets benefit from kids who have developed respect for all living things.
Elementary kids are invited to join our CAP Kid's Club. Membership is only $50 per year and makes a wonderful gift for animal loving grandchildren, neices, nephews and your very own fur loving kids. And members are ALWAYS allowed to bring a friend. Every meeting includes an animal interaction along with a FUN, educational lesson and animal themed games or crafts.
Our members have gotten to interact with kittens, puppies, rabbits, pocket pets, parrots, an opposum, search and rescue dogs, turtles, tegu lizards, sugar gliders, chickens and many, many more including our resident "spokes-iguana" Sherman! CAP seeks to encourage a child's interest and love of pets. We want to give them the facts and tools to make better decisions for pets and the people that love them.
Join us for our next 2 hour meeting December 3rd at the CAP Animal Shelter & Pet Adoption Center. All children ages 6 to 13 are invited to become a member TODAY! Learn more at http://cap4pets.org/education/cap-kids-club.
