How do I raise money for CAP?

The best and easiest way to raise money for CAP is through the Run for a Reason charity program. Register to be a CAP fundraiser and create an online fundraising page. Using this page, you will be able to set a fundraising goal, email potential donors, keep track of your donations and send thank you emails. We’ll make it easy for you with a step by step guide and support as you prepare for the race.

Can I raise money for Citizens for Animal Protection if I am not participating in a race?

Absolutely! Simply go to the Run for a Reason tab on the chevronhoustonmarathon.com home page and select "Become a Fundraiser" and then click on the Citizens for Animal Protection logo to get started. Once you have registered CAP will contact you to help you easily meet your goal with tips and a “how to” guide.

Is there a way for my business to get involved with the Run for a Reason program?

Companies, organizations and groups that would like to support charity through the Run for a Reason program can do so via our Corporate Sidewalk Squad program. The Sidewalk Squad is a unique program that gives companies exposure, involvement and recognition at Texas’ largest marathon in exchange for a tax deductible donation to Citizens for Animal Protection. Run for a Reason and help homeless animals! Both race participants and non-participants may create their own fundraising pages, donate to someone else’s donation page, or make a donation directly to CAP through the Run for a Reason page on the Chevron Houston Marathon webpage.

Not in the race?

CAP has spots available for runners who are willing to fundraise for our furry friends. Contact CAP Community Outreach Director, Trisha Royal today and learn more about all of these possibilities!

Thank You for Your Support!
